Trace each roof plane with its pitch, trace ridges, valleys and eaves, and price the roof by the square.
What you measure
Roof planes with pitch

Ridges, hips & valleys (LF)
Trace them as linear runs for cap, ice-and-water and flashing.
Eaves & rakes (LF)
Trace drip edge, starter and gutters.
Penetrations (EA)
Count vents, skylights, stacks and roof drains.

What you price
Why roofing businesses switch
Residential roofers often buy aerial measurement reports for each quote; commercial roofers take off in Bluebeam. TrueScope measures plans or report PDFs and prices the roof with your own materials and labour.
Setup tip
Convert pitch to degrees for the slope angle — 6/12 is 26.6°, 8/12 is 33.7° — and set 1 SF = 0.01 squares on each roofing product.
Common questions
Yes. Each group has a slope angle; set it to the pitch in degrees and the area is the true sloped area.
You can upload the report PDF and measure on it. Direct import of report data is not available yet.
