Field service
A Jobber alternative when the work is more than a visit
Jobber schedules home-service work: quotes, jobs, invoices, and a client list for cleaners, landscapers, plumbers, and similar crews. Published pricing starts near $49 a month for a single Core user and climbs into the hundreds as the team and the tier grow. For a pure service route, it is simple on purpose.
It gets expensive in a different way when the company is not pure service. A contractor who takes off a plan, builds an assembly, stocks parts, and then sends a tech is stitching Jobber to other software. TrueScope field scheduling is the lite version of that dispatch board, inside the same app as the takeoff and the warehouse.

More details
What Jobber is built to do
Jobber is field-service management for small home-service teams: requests, quoting, scheduling, and getting paid. It is not fabrication software and it is not a plan takeoff tool.
- Marketing and review add-ons around a service brand
- Route-style quoting that assumes each job is a visit
- A ceiling you hit when a job needs a BOM or a progress draw
The lighter version for a small contractor
TrueScope schedules technicians, recurring maintenance, travel and duration, and invoices written on site. That is the Jobber-shaped day. The same customer can also have a project, a takeoff, and a work order if the company does more than visits.
The contractors who feel squeezed by Jobber are the ones whose week mixes installs, small fab, and service agreements. Other field apps force them to pick a lane. TrueScope lets each lane be a module instead of a second vendor.
Techs already live on phones. TrueScope is mobile-first, works offline, and the office side runs on a Mac. Dispatch is not a Windows program back at the shop.
Jobber Core is publicly listed around $49 a month for one user, with higher tiers for larger teams. TrueScope field contributors are $5 a month and full users are $20, with takeoff and inventory included for full users. Prices change. Check the vendor before you buy.

TrueScope features that cover this work
- Field service
Schedule, recur, and invoice the visit.
- Inventory
Know the truck and the warehouse, not just a price on the quote.
- Takeoffs
For the installs that start as a plan, not a phone call.
When Jobber is still the right call
Stay on Jobber if every dollar comes from straightforward service visits and you like that narrower tool. Move when you are exporting jobs into a spreadsheet to build, stock, or progress-bill them.
Questions small contractors ask
Is TrueScope a Jobber alternative for contractors?
Yes if you need scheduling and invoicing and also measure plans, track parts, or run a small shop. A lawn route that only needs quotes and invoices may be happy staying on a dedicated service app.
Can technicians invoice from the phone?
Yes. On-site invoices and receipts are part of field service scheduling.
Do I pay extra for inventory?
No. Full users get inventory, takeoff, and the ledger in the same $20 monthly price.
$20 a full user. Every module.
Field contributors are $5. Mac, phone, and offline included.
